A loading bay is an infrastructure that can greatly improve the efficiency of the procurement process, allowing the loading and unloading of goods quickly and safely. In this article, we will explore a case study of installing a cargo bay in a warehouse to optimize the stages of docking the vehicles to the industrial warehouse.<\/p>\n

The company Customer is a supermarket chain based in a medium-sized city in the province of Verona. The company operates a central warehouse where all the goods are stored and then distributed in the various stores. Most of the goods are delivered to the central warehouse by external suppliers. However, the customer had found some problems in the process of supplying of the goods, mainly legacies to the loading and the unloading of the products.<\/p>\n

Most of the goods were unloaded directly onto the warehouse floor. This took a long time and risked damaging the products, causing delays and financial losses. In addition, the warehouse did not have a dedicated entrance to the loading and unloading of goods, making it difficult to access trucks and slowing down the delivery process.
